Similes and Metaphors

November 30th, 2014 15 comments

Here are some examples of similes and metaphors can you guess which is which?

If you are excited you are as happy as a pig in mud.

If you are not exited about this activity you are a rock.

Can you write me an original simile and metaphor in your comment?

The Macnifiers Dancing and Singing!

The Macnifiers are at it again!  This time they are dancing and singing for a kindergarten class.  I heard through the grapevine that the kids choreographed the whole thing on their own.  I am impressed with their stamina.  My question to the class is how could you put a little more life into your performance?  YouTube Preview Image

Why Blog?

September 3rd, 2014 No comments

I am so excited for blogging in our class this year!  For the first time our blogs can be accessed outside ISM.  This will make it easier for family and friends to keep up with what we are doing in class.

This image shows the steps of blogging we are using to become better bloggers.  The part that makes me the most excited is the connecting to the world.  Imagine having other students and teachers reading our blogs!

If I could connect with any class in the world it would have to be with a class either in Egypt or Canada because I have already taught in both those countries and I would love to know what grade four classrooms are doing there.

What part of blogging are you most interested in?
